WORDS FROM THE GENIUS

In rap history today we talk about what made Wednesday a classic hip hop day. On February 19, 1991 GZA also known as The Genius debuted his 1st solo album with Gold Chillin’ Records. The album “words from the genius” was a flop and GZA was released from his deal soon after the album release. Making GZA the first member to have a deal before the legendary group was presented to the world. Soon after The WU was created!

Straight out of the streets of New York GZA stands strong along side cousin RZA as he created the infamous WU-TANG CLAN. A group of 9 including both RZA and GZA. (ODB, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa) Becoming what’s said to be the most influential group of hip hop.

Dropping their first album in 1992 the Wu brought us Enter the Wu-Tang (36 chambers) which is known as the greatest album of all time. With a track list including Bring the Rukus, Wu-Tang ain’t nothing to F’ wit, and a money anthem we hear all over the world C.R.E.A.M. GZA has a solo track on the legendary album called “ Clan in da Front” where he spits his knowledge and educated mind in street form. We now hashtag and celebrate #WuTangWednesdays with a bang. While newer generations rock graphic tees. With the Wu-Tang (W) symbol across their chest as a fashion statement. Some not even knowing the history and talent the group has put into hip hop history.

Coming to you while trusting the process and the hype I want you all to remember to “Protect Ya Neck” -LenorMunster
