TRAVIS SCOTT BREAKS STREAMING RECORDS WITH HIS "FORTNITE" CONCERT

Travis Scott has been known as a trendsetter and that trend seems to be continuing thanks to his collaboration with Fortnite. Epic games said that nearly 12.3 million concurrent Fornite players "attended" the concert as Travis Scott brought Astroworld to the digital plane. It is also where Travis Scott dropped a new project he worked on with Kid Kudi.

The huge digital attendance record was obviously helped by the stay-at-home quarantine orders that we are dealing with across the globe as well as the new single being teased. 10.7 million fans checked out the EDM artist Marshmello’s virtual performance not too far back in February 2019. The number of 12.3 million doesn’t account for other ways fans might have watched from streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

It makes a lot of business sense for Travis Scott to partner with Epic Games. Fornite is the biggest game on the planet, with over $1.8 billion in revenue in 2019 after have a record breaking year in 2018 earning over $2 billion.
