Erykah Badu is creating a perfume that smells like her vagina. No you are not dreaming or perhaps stuck in a nightmare, this is really happening.
In an interview recently Erykah Badu informed the world of her intent to create and sell a perfume called Badu’s Pussy on her online store, Badu World Market, that is scheduled to launch on Feb 20th. The name of the perfume is not ironic as the scent is being created to smell like her downstairs area.
Badu said she’s doesn’t wear underwear anymore so she was ok with using her panties to create the scent. “I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them,” she said in the interview. “Even the ash is part of it.”
Badu said the vagina-scented fragrance is inspired by “an urban legend that my pussy changes men. The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives.”
