A teen in Brooklyn named Jeremiah Dickey was shot and killed in his neighborhood while he rapped on Facebook Live.
The New York City police department stated that officers were called close to the corner Elton Street and New Lots Avenue on Tuesday (February 4) around 6:45 p.m. They found the young man with a gunshot to his head. He was unresponsive. Emergency officials rushed him to Brookdale University Hospital where he died.
In the Facebook Live video (which has been taken down) Dickey sat in a vehicle and rapped along to a song. He looked around during the video and then five continuous gun shots could be heard. The screen went black as the phone fell and 30” by Brooklyn rapper Bizzy Banks kept playing in the background.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is still going.
