BABYFACE & TEDDY RILEY BATTLE ON IG LIVE DOESN'T GO AS PLANNED

Instagram Live battles have taken off lately in the wake of the quaratine. Teddy Riley and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds battled last night, well I guess you might be able to say they battled. Things were off to a weird start right away as the thousands of onlookers tuned in, there was no sound. Also while Babyface was lowkey and relaxed in his studio, Riley was over the top in comparison and looking like he was getting ready to headline a festival.

Almost 30 minutes into the battle and it wasn't going well. The two legends tried their best as over 400,000 people watched. The only sounds that could be heard on Riley’s side was playback and echoes whenever it was his turn. It goes without saying that the battle was a bust. Around 10:00 p.m. EST, Babyface, age 62 and Riley, age 53, asked the audience to bare with them by returning in 30 minutes even though most fans objected.

A little after 10:30 p.m. EST, Babyface said they should postpone the IG Live battle.

Babyface addressed the audience and said, “Tonight was really special … it’s only right that we postpone this thing and do it at a time when there aren’t any technical difficulties and everybody can hear the music the way it needs to be heard." Twitter has went in hard on these two for multiple reasons, not the least being their age and inability to manage their livestream without issues. The battle hasn't been rescheduled at the moment but fans will be eager to see if the next one has any similar setbacks.
