We are proud to showcase some ”Fresh Faces“ that are coming up in the AZ Hip Hop scene and next up is the man known as E$cott.
From gaining recognition on Freshmen lists to placing high on highly touted rap challenges, E$cott is an Arizona artist you need to know about. He started rapping at the age of 14 and developed his sound on a “magix” recording program. Hailing from the Dunlap neighborhood of Phoenix, AZ and developing his sound with his group E.D.P.(Every.Day.People.), E$cott is more then ready to stake his claim as one the state’s best. There’s an artist every once in awhile that when you hear their music you just have to see them perform live. E$cott is that kind of artist. His infectious energy comes out in his songs and captivates the listener. His sound is unique but could draw comparisons to Da Baby for his ability to captivate with an energetic and confident delivery. He might make you think of a Strange Music artist with his decidedly one of kind vibe. Check out his project D.R.U.G.S., Vol. 2 and you‘ll get a feel for his style on songs like “Ride” with Dobey Dobe & Jay Wop and ”Crazy Freestyle” with Lil K. Both songs give you different samples of what E$cott offers with the former being a chilled out introspective jam and the latter a lyrical exhibition with narrative nuance.
