10 days remaining. We are getting closer and closer to the 6th Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival. If you've found yourself craving more information on the biggest completely independent festival in the world then you’ll want to keep reading. We are proud to showcase some ”Fresh Faces“ that are coming up in the AZ Hip Hop scene and next up is the talented Lita Lee.
Once in awhile you get an artist on the rise that has the look, mindset and talent to go far. You can tell just by their presence that they are destined to do big things. Lita Lee is a Buckeye, AZ born artist that has spent the most formative years of her life in Phoenix, AZ and just happens to be one of those rare artists that stick with you as someone to keep your eyes on. From charging parents $1 for shows at the age of 5 to rocking stages at open mic nights to opening for national artists while helping build a foundation for other artists to thrive, Lita Lee has cultivated a reputation of being as hard working as they come. Her music, like her looks, grabs your attention and refuses to let go. Her sound gets compared to
Cardi B., Snow The Product, and similar female artists but where they overlap is in being brash and unapologetic for their styles. Other than that Lita Lee separates herself from her peers and influences by being able to compose infectious and unique music that doesn’t shy away from being able to rap proficiently. Her project Just Gimmie Uh Beat shows the range and dynamic appeal of Lita Lee. Listening to “Back Back” should help you understand that she isn’t just a gorgeous woman, she’s a real emcee that isn’t afraid to embrace every aspect of who she is. Her cover of “Middle
Child“ by J.Cole garnered her attention from celebrities and she has used that momentum to put herself in position to take off in 2020.
Being a prominent face in Arizona Hip Hop is something that she takes very seriously. She is dedicated to the scene, has always been one to show love to other artists and support them in their endeavors so it’s safe to say AZ has her back. She is a true queen of the underground and an artist you can’t miss this year at the 6th Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival.
