6th Annual Artist Spotlight Vol. 8 - J.Rob The Chief

We are 65 days away from the 6th Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival and as we all get ready for our favorite time of the year and we wanted to highlight some artists you should check out when the biggest Hip Hop event in Arizona commences for the sixth year in a row. J.Rob The Chief is someone you don’t want to miss.

Arizona is proud to have an artist like J.Rob The Chief call the desert home. He has been going strong for over 8 years and it

shows with his polished sound and music business acumen. His label, Chief Squad Records, has three artists that have already made a significant impact in their respective circles. Moves make money but movements generate incomes. These are not just the moves of a good rapper, these are the movements of a movement.

J.Rob set out to do more with his

music than to just personally benefit from the rewards. The Chief, a name he takes very seriously, wants to provide for his family. He wants to make it to where everyone of his loved ones is taken care of, that they all have a place at the table. With the steps he has taken, he is going to end up needing some more chairs and plates. The drive to be a hip hop artist and provide for those around him comes from his father. J.Rob would watch his dad at the studio or performing for crowds at local shows or events. His father sadly passed in 2003 but that passing of the torch really stuck with J.Rob and helped craft him into the powerhouse of Arizona Hip Hop that he is today. His song “Rich Friends“ has over 280K plays on Spotify alone and his latest album, EIGHT, debuted at number 7 on Itunes. It is supremely polished, personal and deserves your listen especially songs like “True Colors“, “5am”, “Tengo Que Ir (I Gotta Go)” that all give you a deep glimpse into The Chief’s mind. Don’t miss his infectious music and commanding stage presence at the 6th Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival.
