6th Annual Artist Spotlight Vol. 27 - Futuristic

Can you believe that we only have 5 days until the 6th Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival? That means everyone is looking at the lineups so they don’t miss their favorite artists and hopefully find some new favorites. We wanted to help highlight some artists you should check out when the biggest Hip Hop event in Arizona commences for the sixth year in a row. We are proud to present to you the artist that everyone thinks about when it comes to Arizona Hip Hop, the man the call Futuristic.

Arizona Hip Hop and Futuristic; The two have almost become synonymous with each other. Hailing from Illinois but residing and making a name for himself in the desert, Futuristic has built a solid career off of insane wordplay, amazing songwriting abilities, double and triple timed bars and an perpetually evolving skillset. Not bad for a guy who used to work in a pizza shop in Tempe, Arizona. He started his climb to prominence in 2012 with his project Dream Big and hasnt stopped dropping critically acclaimed projects since. His sound is hard to put a label on and that is a huge positive as his catalog has something for everyone. Songs like “Epiphany”, ”I Guess I‘ll Smoke” & “Bad Girl” all hit different emotional notes and allow you to sink into the vibes of each songs’s respective narrative. His latest releases I Am... & Zachary Lewis took everyone by surprise not only due to the unexpected two-part album drop but for the decidedly new layer to his sound that emerged on both albums. He is always looking for ways to invest in others as well like when he partnered go create an affordable filming location for artists in LA and he even released a book to help other independent artists grow and develop their career. TBP cyphers to collaborations and co-signs from industry heavyweights like Tech N9ne, Hopsin, & NF amongst others just proves how the highly acclaimed see this Arizona artist. Futuristic lives for his fans and for the life changing power of music. You might catch him rubbing elbows with celebrities or catching a local Hip Hop show in his hometown and supporting the next wave of Arizona artists. For 5 years in a row Arizona has been wondering when Futuristic would headline the Arizona Hip Hop Festival. We are so happy to be able to say that we have our answer. Dont miss the man that helped put Arizona Hip Hop on the mainstream radar perform this year at the 6th Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival.
